PUB HLT 701: Public Health Impacts of Climate Change and Steps Toward Protecting Our Communities
Interested in learning more about climate change and public health? For the second year, C-Solutions is collaborating with UCLA Extension to offer a free, virtual course that is open to the public. This three-week class is designed to inform students about the impacts of climate change, how these risks affect our health, and solutions that can work toward protecting our communities. No prior knowledge of public health or climate change is necessary! Lectures will be led by C-Solutions Faculty members Dr. Jonathan Fielding, MD, MPH, MA, and Dr. Diane A. Garcia-Gonzales, PhD, MPH, and will also feature guest speakers to be announced.

PUB HLT 801: Climate Solutions Peer Advocate Training
Building off of PUB HLT 701, the Climate Solutions Peer Advocate Training is an interactive course designed for students who would like to use their knowledge of climate and health to affect change in their own communities. Over four virtual class meetings, students will be trained to design and run workshops to educate people on the health impacts of climate change. Students will also have the opportunity to present their customized workshops to their own communities and gain feedback from course instructors and peers.
